3 week course for adults from 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Tuesdays & Thursdays – Sept 17 to Oct 3

Learn basic computer skills such as:

  • Getting familiar with a computer
  • Using email
  • Browsing the internet
  • Managing files
  • Using features of Microsoft Windows

No experience necessary. Bring your own laptop or use one that is provided.

  • Type and format text
  • Organize information using titles, headings, and lists
  • Add pictures and tables
  • Print and create PDFs to share your finished documents

Session 1: First Steps > Oct 8, 15 & 22
Find out what your computer can do and how to get started. Learn about common computer programs and how to get online safely.

Session 2: Communicating with Computers > Oct 29, Nov 5 & 12
Send and receive e-mails while avoiding spam. Learn how to connect with friends and family using social media, instant messaging, your smartphone and video calls.

Session 3: Protecting Yourself Online > Nov 19, 26 & Dec 3
Learn how to protect your online information and deal with space and computer viruses. Find out more about online banking, cloud storage and online shopping.
