Settlement Workers provide one-on-one and family settlement support on topics such as housing, education, health care, transportation, employment, and daily life in Canada. Services are tailored to individual and family needs and to the St. Thomas–Elgin community.
This service includes:
- Initial needs assessment to better understand your needs, assets, and settlement goals and to co-develop a personalized settlement plan to support you in your settlement journey
- General and individualized settlement information and orientation
- One-on-one and family settlement support
- Referrals to local programs and services, including employment, health care, language training, and skills development
- Connections to community agencies and government services
